Labor Union Resources

Labor unions are legally recognized as representatives of workers in many industries.  There is a big difference between unionized and non-union work environments.  Many public sectors are unionized where employees pay union fees and are represented by the union to negotiate contracts for work and benefits.  Even though union are often painted with negative images, they do help protect works' rights.

AFL-CIO

The National Labor Relations Board

NLRB is an independent federal agency created by Congress in 1935 to administer the  National Labor Relations Act, the primary law governing relations between unions and employers in the private sector.  http://www.nlrb.gov/
